- What does a DEXA scan measure?
- Bone Density, Bone Mass, Fat Mass and Lean Mass.
- How accurate is a DEXA scan?
- Any DEXA scan will have a margin of error less than +/- 2%. Our GE Lunar Prodigy has a margin of error +/- 0.3%
- How long does a DEXA scan take?
- Your appointment time is 20 minutes. However, your total time DEXA scan time is typically less than 11 minutes.
- Do I need a doctor’s referral for a DEXA scan?
- While the State of Colorado does require medical approval for a DEXA scan, we take care of that for you.
- What is the difference between a DEXA scan and BMI?
- BMI is a ratio of height and weight. A DEXA scan will tell you with incredible accuracy your actual fat mass, lean mass and bone mass.

- What is RMR testing?
- Resting Metabolic Rate tests measure the number of calories your body burns to during basic life sustaining functions.
- How is RMR measured?
- By measuring the exact amount of oxygen you consume and carbon dioxide your produce.
- How accurate is RMR testing?
- Our Korr MetaCheck is considered highly accurate, typically falling within 2% of a person's true RMR.
- What should I do before an RMR test?
- You will need to fast (only water) at least four (4) hours prior to your test. Avoid exercise and stress on the day of the test.
- How long does RMR testing take?
- Your RMR appointment will be a 20 minute appointment. Your actual test time will be 10-15 minutes.
